Meet The Artist

Jason (Jay) Byrd is a veteran guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose career began in his teens. He co-founded blues-rock trio The Groov and later joined Wavy Train, shaping their sound with pop melodies and improvisation. After moving to D.C. in 2001, Jay embraced an Americana style, earning accolades from NewSong, the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest, and more. His latest album, At Home Again, follows work with his former band South Rail, which released three acclaimed EPs, including Stars (produced by Don Was).

Jay has opened for acts like Little Feat, Chely Wright, and Caroline Rose, and shared stages with String Cheese Incident, Steve Winwood, and others.
